Wish I could just do it at home, oh well.

Supposed to be a new breed lays blue. Not a Americuana Aruacana or EE. Sounds like the guy mixed fly tie chickens with a blue egger and bred them to SOP???

He's keeping it secret what the mix is... sounds similar to a SBEL or Sapphire... strictly for color and egg production... said they're very flighty though... someone else was asking and 1 person called him...

First two were super slow, 20 hours and 10 hours.... So we thought the third would take over 1.5 hours (time to drive to midwife clinic).

But...uh.... We were wrong. We only got about 30 minutes or less of driving when it started coming out.... Pulled into the first pullout we saw... Which was the dump for a tiny town we were zooming through.

Number 4 we had at home... And took about 7 hours

Fifth was a horror... Placenta abruption, .... So emergency hospital c-section about 2.5 weeks early. (All other kids were on time or late). However, it all ended up fine... No brain damage etc... All good.

I've never had jerky. Nowadays you can get it at the store, but at 7 euros for a tiny bag I haven't had a need to try it yet. Maybe I should. I haven't seen anything else than beef jerky in different flavors though.
my fav jerky is elk jerky yummy

blueeeeeeeeee

So I've noticed since I brought the piggies home that the spotted one has been scratching her sides and shaking her head. Looked in her ears and it looks like she has mites. This should be a fun adventure to have Josh hold them and have to inject them with ivomec. Dang it!

My dogs got ear mites once, don't remember what we gave them, could you imagine..little bugs in your ears! Drove them nuts!! If you see your dogs shaking their heads, itching their ears, mostly just shook their heads, looks like dirt in their ears...it's ear mites...'ain't no bugs on me' ....Not a biggie mini, not like they have crabs or something.

Checked that out, thanks for the link..Just seen it, thought it was new. Good, GREAT to see some are still playing with chicken genetics, that's how we got the Delawares, New Hampshire's, White Rocks, 'Indian Rivers', not many playing with the 'genes' no more. We are stuck with cornish X and 'leghorns'. Good to see someone is still 'playing around'. They don't interest me, but I bet they sell out. Different colored eggs, I have right now, no blue but green brown white and olive. I don't mind 'flighty' doesn't concern me, a good carcass size does, I don't want chickens that are not worth eating...
