Not much to say, playing ketchup....Lol!
Tired still, Florida was awesome, but tiring, carried all day long one of three kids, two older ones were on their own, one of the three younger should've been but got a few way too long rides on my shoulders. Feel like I carried Elephants on my shoulders all week. 18 hr drive last night with many stops from lower South Carolina back, I refused to stay another night in a hotel against wife's recommendations, whats another couple...few...five hours...+++ drive for a night on my own pillow!!!??? Think I have caffeine poisoning I'm recovering from....
50 degree drop in temp home, loved 90+...40 here....
Only one dead chicken, don't think she grasped the concept of the chicken nipples, still had half the 15 gallon water container full and a couple inches of feed left in the feeder, was one of the red sussex so no big deal they suck, small body size and small eggs.
Didn't get the German New Hampshire eggs from Eight Acres Farm in Fl, she had a death in the family and couldn't meet when we went through, will have to have them mailed. Almost drove to pick up some really nice dark cornish from 'adjduncan' on here BYC, also in north central florida, just wanted to get home so passed them up, will have to have them mailed also.
Only have 19 white giant eggs to set in the hova tomorrow, would have more but one of the pullets/hens? decided to set and look super mean at me so I'll leave her alone, don't know how many she's on. I was getting a egg a day from both, so a week, I got four eggs, maybe ten eggs under her? I'll check another day, she's lookin like a snappin turtle, and big.
I picked up a half a five gallon pail of eggs in the big coop, going to feed them to the dogs, not any of the five silkies setting!!?? I thought I'd have broodies all over, red sussex I have to kick off nests every day, none were setting last night. Really didn't want any broodies just was surprised when I walked into piles of eggs and none setting.
Baby naked necks arriving in a week

Been Extremely busy.
Due to my Asthma I am downsizing, Lessening my contact with chickens by having less chickens.
Letting go of Jubilees & Mottle/Spangled this time.
Decided to keep the Red-Crele- Cuckoo project &
isabels. Working on auto sex link Red Crele.
Giving away English Orpington chicks 07 May & 21 May at TSC Ridgeway-Martinsville Parkinglot swap.
Eggs in incubator for two hatches. 07 May & 21 May.
