We've had our first prolonged cold snap today. Garden is dead. Bet your greenhouses are brimming, eh?

Ravyn the boys are crazy! Alaskan as far as I know there’s three but hey, I could be pregnant
Peep the greenhouse are brimming... with snow lol! It’s warm but we’re getting a decent amount of snow (we hardly had any last year)
How are your flocks? Kids? egg counts?
My egg count is terrible lol 4 a day from 23 young hens...

I have too many hens to count, and usually zero eggs.

I have alot of hens and pullets too, and usually 4-6 eggs.
But... I do have 2 new layers in my serama pens. Yeah.

Sam -- "you could be pregnant"?? Is that a distinct possibility, or you've just been gettin.... um... some.

oh, and I have a new granddaughter! Born November 9th.

Gave my flock to a friend who had a lonely roo -- (the prime laying years are behind them, therefore not a big loss as they had gone into henopause for the winter) -- and have a batch of 2-month-old chicks I'm waiting on, so no eggs at present.
The garden gave great goodies this year. Spent most of the summer canning. Thinking of running for political office in our Village, which means I'm officially a glutton for punishment.
