Here's my simple DIY treat basket based on the one on the treat chart page (https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/chicken-treat-chart-the-best-treats-for-backyard-chickens)
The metal basket slides up and out to be refilled. We are doing deep litter method so it may be just fine to have scraps getting composted in the litter, but somehow I think it may be an invitation for mice/rats/pests. Besides, I'm still learning about their culinary preferences.
