Do chickens ever lay two eggs per day?

I also have a Blue Cochin Hen who is older about 3 years old who also lays 2 a day constant since she started laying shes are only yard pet so I know 100% that it is her 2 eggs everyday

Yes. I had a BSL who laid 2 rubber and one normal eggs in a 24 hour period.

I wish, I were a chicken,

i always thought of this as an exaggeration. i stand corrected…

I don't know what's up with my chickens. I have 7 hens and one rooster. The rooster and one hen are australorps, and the other 6 hens are golden comets. I started getting 4 to 6 eggs within the second week of acquiring the chickens. On the third week, I'd get occasionally 7. Then one day, we got 8. The next day 7, then the next day five. The day after that, 11! So that when on for a few days, five or six, then next day, 10 or 11. Two days ago, we got 7, and yesterday......thirteen eggs!!!!
Now I live in Bowman Georgia, and this area is surrounded with chicken farms. So I'm asking around if that's normal. No one seems to be making a big deal about it. So maybe it's more common that I thought? I don't know, we have eggs running out of our ears. We thought during good days, we'd get maybe an egg every other day from out hens. My crew are completely enclosed, so no stray chickens can sneak in and lay. Fresh eggs anyone?

My buff brahma laid two eggs in one day and it is her first ever eggs should i be happy or concerned...none are soft both beautiful as ever

We have one mallard hen. we lock her up from 8pm to 8am. this morning there were two eggs in the run. she is the only mallard with 8 Pekin hens and one Pekin drake so I am sure they are mallard eggs since there is so much difference in size and my Pekins are not laying yet

I didn't think this was possible either but today my white legorn laid 2 eggs! I know it's her because she is the only hen I have that lays white eggs!

I have ex battery, they are 2 months in recovery and coming on well, one just laid 2 in a row this morning, I stayed with her, so it is not made up, the 2'nd egg was all crumpled, the shell, but perfect eggs
