Egg #3 was the one with the bad air sac and that’s the one that didn’t make it.I’ve been away, but glad to see 2 are likely to be ok. Sorry for the one that didn’t make it.

I agree with this!I guess I should have worded my original post better and I didn't see the call egg part, but my issue with safety holes isn't the safety holes themselves per se it's the recommendation of using them without proper instruction which introduces more complications. When I see recommendations to make a safety hole they often leave out that it needs to be done at the correct point of hatch, with a sterilized instrument, very carefully not to puncture the actual bird and the hole itself needs to be the appropriate size to provide air, but not be too big that it causes the membrane not to dry too quickly.
