Do you color your hair?

I always dye my hair.
i've had so many different colours.
my fav would have to be scarlet red:)
My hair dying would of been happening since i was 8 or 9 and im 19 in a couple months.
I dye my hair cause i have natual black hair, and i hate it!

I havent dyed my hair in a month, it feels so weird cause i'm trying to grow my hair.

When I was 24 I moved far away from home. I must have colored my hair off and on for awhile, but the first time my dad picked me up at the airport he about fainted at how grey I had gotten. He said he was wayyyy to young to have a grey haired daughter (and I'm the youngest!) So for many years I always made it a point to freshly color my hair before I went home. But I have LOTS of dark hair that grows really fast, so I have to color the roots every 4 weeks or so and it takes two packages for hair color! How tiresome! And my DH does a lot around the house but won't help with hair coloring so I was always missing a spot. Frankly I was fed up. So I went cold turkey. Grew it all out without ever going short. It has taken the better part of two years. My older sister hates it.... She says she respects my decision, but she will never go grey. My BALD DH was afraid having a grey haired wife would make him look old! But I don't care. It's what I want. I refuse to damage my environment and spent $$$ just for society's opinion of what color a woman's hair ought to be. I was surprised at all the websites out there supporting grey hair and helping natural women maintain their silver locks. Check out this website www.goinggraylookinggreat.com

I started graying at 16, but didn't start dying my hair until a couple of years ago. But, in that couple of years I have only dyed it maybe 2 or 3 times. Just if I get a urge

I have a perfect skunk gray stripe that runs all the way down.

Either way, it doesn't really matter to me gray or no gray. It's just however you feel best about yourself.

I'm apparantly not allowed to tell anyone my age

So let's just say I'm a few years older than ten.
Many of the other girls at my school color their hair, and get feathers put in it! What's the deal with that??? It's just stupid hair! And the feathers in it makes it look STUPID, and it kills chickens! Maybe it's because most of the other people on BYC are ol- I mean

-er, so I don't really get the point. I'm just saying

I don't color my hair. I just never felt any need or desire to. I did grow up coloring my mother's hair, from the time I was in grade school. Maybe I got my fill of it with her hair!

I think anyone that wants to color their hair should. I do think people should try to color their hair with a color that looks attractive. Maybe it will be a fun color or maybe it will be a more natural color, but it should be a color that looks good on them.

Sometimes, I see people that have chosen a color that doesn't go with their complexion and it makes them look very unattractive or just unhealthy. Sometimes they just need to go a bit lighter, for a softer look, or change the tone a bit, going with a slightly warmer or cooler color. With the right color, I think people can color their hair at pretty much any age.

mine turned grey when I was 16... yup.. 16.. been dying it ever since.. i've used the commercial dyes and henna.. been everything from bleach blonde to blue to purple with black stripes.. red (auburn) with black tiger stripes.. different shades of auburn from strawberry blonde to deep burgundy .. browns and even black..

tried stripping the color from my hair once and looked like a calico cat that had been run through the blender (ouch.. bozo the clown orange is NOT my color)!

so when my husband came back from Iraq I let him pick the color.. this week it's a burgundy color.. next week.. who knows!
