Oh my! I thought my mom was being ridiculous because SHE too hates my gray. She uses the "excuse" that her hair is just too fine when she doesn't color it, and she needs it to have "body". Um, mom? You are 75. Your hair is NOT brown anymore. And it's OK, really!
My kids like my gray hair, and my husband says he thinks I'm beautiful (and would be even if I were bald, ahahahahha). So, I guess it is all how you look at yourself.
Our society has a thing for youth... botox, face lifts, augmentations, lipo..... I don't think I want to go through all of those things because even though I have wrinkles, gray hair and saggy fat places.... I AM BEAUTIFUL. Inside and OUT! I think that by showing my true self, I'm showing what God made me into.
Besides, silver and gold are commodities, right? I think my silver/gray hair shows I have confidence in WHO I am, and that being 52 is a great age.
Thanks everyone for all of your input. I just wondered if I was the only one who has stopped the quest for youth. I don't think being young is the only great age to be.
Bravo!! Love it! (Getting older isn't for wimps, is it?)
