Do you color your hair?

Oh my! I thought my mom was being ridiculous because SHE too hates my gray. She uses the "excuse" that her hair is just too fine when she doesn't color it, and she needs it to have "body". Um, mom? You are 75. Your hair is NOT brown anymore. And it's OK, really!

My kids like my gray hair, and my husband says he thinks I'm beautiful (and would be even if I were bald, ahahahahha). So, I guess it is all how you look at yourself.

Our society has a thing for youth... botox, face lifts, augmentations, lipo..... I don't think I want to go through all of those things because even though I have wrinkles, gray hair and saggy fat places.... I AM BEAUTIFUL. Inside and OUT! I think that by showing my true self, I'm showing what God made me into.

Besides, silver and gold are commodities, right? I think my silver/gray hair shows I have confidence in WHO I am, and that being 52 is a great age.

Thanks everyone for all of your input. I just wondered if I was the only one who has stopped the quest for youth. I don't think being young is the only great age to be.

Bravo!! Love it! (Getting older isn't for wimps, is it?)

I color mine because my hair darkened as I grew up... it went from light blonde to dark blonde to this really dull, ashy, not brown nor blonde color. I don't like it.

Thus, I don't color in a quest for beauty improvement, I color my hair for me. I like looking in the mirror and seeing a cheerful color shining back at me.

My hair is growing at a pretty good rate, and I don't run to the beauty supply store every month

so my roots often show, but it doesen't bother me as long as it doesen't distract me from the colorful and shiny part

I've had a handful of grey hairs since I was in my early 20's, now in my very late 20's I have even more. (My family is cursed with early grey hair) I keep going back and forth on the idea of coloring my hair, but after watching my mom for the past 20+ years coloring her hair and now trying to let it grow out grey, which gives that awful grey roots look with her dark brown died hair. I think I am sticking natural. As for now no one notices my grey hairs (they are mostly in the front but I can tuck them behind my ears

so no one sees) I just don't want the grey root look, and I just don't have time to color my hair with my two girls. I haven't even had a hair cut in almost 2 years now! I just don't seem to have the time

My hair is extreme dark naturally. However, in fits of insanity, the Special Effects, and now the Pravada Vivids are used. Can't really see the purple, except on the silver hairs.

I had a cousin that was completely gray by the age of 14, and I started at 16. My hair doesn't hold dye though, so in a couple of months it is all washed out, so I don't really have the root issues.

I would like to just burr it off, but my husband isn't too fond of that idea

Once, it goes completely gray, I'll probably wear it really short. I don't like the course gray hair, it's hard to manage, for me anyway, esp. if it's long.

I'm sorry I didn't read all the post, but I did read OP first question.. I love seeing older ladies with all grey hair.. Even though my name says Meatking, I am a lady.. And I must say, it looks nice on lady's! I feel respect for lady's with grey hair.. Always respect your elders.. And when you see a lady with grey/white hair.. rinnig around doing barn chores, taking care of this and that.. I always think to myself, I hope as I age I look like that!!
