Thanks sweetie! :)

petlove ~ we'll just have to agree to disagree...but a lot of my friends are tattoo'ed and pierced and so are a lot of people in public. So not exposing them to tattoos would be almost impossible. (Heck my youngest came with me to the tattoo parlor to get my last piercing! hehe)

Ummmmm.....I am pretty sure she wasn't proposing holding down all the children of BYC and putting tats on them? Just showing off what you have. If tattoos aren't suitable for children to see I guess I need to start hiding my ankle from my kids.

this is one of my favorite byc members, she not a conservitive person, i love that about her, i think as long as its not obsine we should post it, and if the child has good parental guidance they won't be effected by the pics. And if a child needs advice from another child about this subject i say no til' all the hormones and everything is straighten out and you can think straight. I'm sorry its monkey say monkey do, but i had to learn the hard way.....

thats what i'm saying we have black nail polish and nose peircings but we're good country people, its just our physical apperance thats changin, i'm sure we all still love MASH and the andy grifth show (i know i do) but our apperence is changing, and thats just the way society is, but i respect your opinion and completely understand.

I have two young adult children who are inked, and so are all their friends, my pharmacist, my doctor, police officers, fire fighters, teachers, old men, middle-aged women, bankers.....the list goes on.

IMHO body art is a form of expression and personal taste, like hair styles or accessories.

hehe Maybe not so much on the shows (don't really watch t.v), but...well...

I'm mostly a good girl. My kids are mostly normal (hehe okay, maybe not, but if you saw them in public, you wouldn't think "Oh my heck, what did that freak DO to her kids?!" Most people would see me and not even have a clue about my...er...freakness.

I contain it well...I think.

My friends and people from here that have met me can probably attest to that...er not. ROFL Heck, most of the time you can't even tell I have piercings.)

Tattoo's and piercings does not automatically qualify someone as a freak, weirdo, lawbreaker or whatever stigma it used to have. Maybe to some people, but not everyone by any means.

You know, I like to think I am a pretty good mom. My BOYS all 3 have their ears pierced, have had mohawks, dyed hair, etc. They are 11, 8, and 7.
smile.png
They are also at the top of their classes in all subjects and bragged on by teachers, principals, other parents.......and they are NOT freaked out by tats.

Do I want my kids to get one....no, a little too permanent for a kid, but when they are older, sure if they want to.

People need to relax. Yeah, this is a chicken site, but it is also a community of friends who share far more than chickens. Body art is a passion for some....so I say, share away!!!!

ok I'll show you mine. My DS got it for me for Christmas last year. I am a 2 time suriviore and proud of it. Some tatts have a very personal meaning and are not degrading or nasty. It was a familly day when I got it. My DGDs were both there (4 and 8 yo). I wear my tatt with great pride sorry if you don't agree with that. It is your right as it is mine to have one

I think that's awesome! Congratulations for beating that darn witch (cancer). My sister is fighting it right now (@ 32) and we've lost so many loved ones and family members to it. What a great way to commemorate your fight!
