Do you kiss your chickens?

Okay all you chicken kissers, kissing an animal is the same as getting on your hands and knees and kissing their bedding. Go ahead and do that, if you still feel the same about it feel free to keep smacking your lips on poop. Nasty. Just Nasty.

well if that is the way you really want to look at it thats fine. I personally am not a germaphob so I will continue to kiss my chickens. I've even kissed dogs, cats, gineau pigs, rabbits, hamsters, horses, and a cow once. I even kiss my sons dirty little knee, and dirty litte fingers. If you are a mom you have too. When you love something as pure as the love we have for our chickens we have no problem over looking a few germs.

Of course I kiss all my animals.

Research shows that people who have animals are far healthier than people who don't. Children especially grow up with fewer allergies and health problems. Seems all those "germs" inoculate you and make your immune system stronger.

I do wash my hands after handling them and before preparing food, though.

Not a chicken kisser but I do love to give each and every one of them a good petting when I go to close them up at night and they are on the roost but can't see very well to escape the attention.

I think they secretly love it though

I not only kiss and hug every chicken I have, but my neighbor's as well. I take care of them and I even hug and kiss their great big RIR rooster who was supposed to be a hen.

Besides hugging and kissing them, I always thank my hens by name for their eggs. Does anyone else do that?????

Oh my heck no I would never kiss my chickens. They crap and lay in it. They are disgusting. I wouldn't lick a sh&t lollipop either. Thank God I have children and a husband to kiss. Yikes. If I ever started doing that, I will need counseling and medication.

Wow! Well that's really gonna stink for the little girl in the avatar when she falls and scrapes a knee and you won't kiss it because it's "like kissing the ground"
So sad.

Yes...I kiss my chickens, dogs, cats, ducks and kids. I even kiss hubby after he comes home from work smelling like robot fluid. It hasn't killed me yet.

Yes, but never told anyone before. Just the tops of their heads...well, maybe their backs too. And only my favorites (some come up to me). And of course, I wash my hands and face after the occasional PDA.
