Do you talk to your chickens?

I talk to them, but they only ask me a couple things.

Where is the food?

After I give them some food they ask
"where is the rest of it?"

Let us out! too.

I greet them everytime with, "howya doing girls" Just not to startle them into a panic, they are a little flighty.

I have developed the habit of spreadin an old sheet over the couch and inviting one or two of the flock in to watch tv with me in the evening. The other night PBS had a program on Chickens, facinating, and we watched and listend with interst. My girls are still young, but they were definatly interested in the crowing!

Not only do I talk to them, but if I 'cluck' to them a certain way, they will repeat what I say. I love my girls.

I can't imagine NOT talking to my chickens or any of the other animals for that matter! They don't seem to think it's odd. I too, crow to my rooster.
