Yeah it definitely is. I’ve always allowed him to play with other dogs. Even strange dogs on the trails LOL we don’t hike anymore but yeah. He knows the rules as dogs are fair game to play with LOL

For me it's mostly because I am lazy and don't want to bother keeping them separate lol, I expect my dogs to get along, play sometimes, but also know not to bother eachother continuously and know when it's time to focus on me. I could never keep up with having to keep my dogs separated

He’s kind of good at ignoring dogs sometimes. Like if they rush up to him, he freezes LOL mostly due to fear, I think. Not knowing what they’re gonna do. Although he has also play bowed before and today he sniffed one LOL

Sorry dobies are just prone to same sex aggression you can do it but it just takes more management and more mindfulness. I’m gonna have my male golden and a male dobie in the future. I just know they aren’t gonna be allowed to interact much if any.

Willows pretty good at ignoring dogs and people unless they specifically start trying to get her attention...which happens a lot by both dogs and humans

A good breeder won’t have ten. The working line breeders pretty much all have amazing obedience on their dogs. Either they know their place and stick to it or they crate and rotate. I actually had an hour phone call a few weeks ago with a breeder and she told me she crate and rotated all the time. None of her females get along.

I feel like, for me, that’d be kind of a red flag, but maybe not in a breed known for it? But I couldn’t handle that lol
