Exactly, the amount of times I've taken willow out with no intention of her socializing yet had random dogs and owners come up to me....I'm glad she's so good with other dogs and that I socialized and taught her how to behave around them.
Yeah I always thought it my dog knew to ignore the other dog completely I wouldn’t have any issues, but there is a line drawn when the other dog gets to much in their face.

Maybe so. I see your point I just don’t feel like they need it. But I am not 100% opposed to it. I agreed with pampstie earlier when she said play a bit but know to focus when you want them to. If they could play together without out it escalating to a fight and they know to knock it off when told I would probably let them do it. But stoping when told is training. I’ve can recall Chase out of mid play without issues. My only concern is that it would open their eyes and want to play constantly.
I don’t think they’d want to play constantly. My brother’s 3 don’t because they trained them not to plus they’re older now. They do play some outside.

Willows played her whole life with other dogs but also spent a lot of hours training around other dogs, so she knows that play is only acceptable if I say. I've never really had an issue of her constantly wanting to play with other dogs but that could be her personality lol

Yeah probably not. I honestly don’t mind the idea of them playing, I just dont think it’s necessary and I want to be very careful that it didn’t escalate. And definitely no playing unsupervised.

Good point as well. Although Chase never played with any dog until he was at 3 and he is great with other dogs. But he is a golden😆

Is singleton syndrome a common thing? I haven’t heard of it before. I have heard of one litter puppies having issues socially though. Is that the same thing?
It's basically just behavior issues that stem from being one litter pups

Yeah ignoring can only go so far

Ah okay that makes sense. To me, I feel like it is necessary cause it’d be like a human being in solitary confinement, to me at least lol BUT! That said, Brew very rarely plays with other dogs anymore cause all his friends either got busy or moved away and we don’t hike anymore. So I can see how it’s not necessary. But when he was younger, it absolutely was LOL
