I was thinking that it would be fun to have a webcam for my chicken tractor. Has anyone done this? I'd love some ideas about what type of (affordable) camera to purchase.

Just a few...

I use a TV baby monitor. I set the camera where I want it in the barn and the TV monitor in my house. It will work up to about 300 feet away. I can move the TV monitor from room to room. I have used this set up for viewing injured horses, litters of puppies, etc. I currently have it set up on my brooder so I can see the chicks without running to the barn every 5 minutes. It is only a black and white monitor, but works in any light and only cost about $60.00. I have used this for ten years and I love it. It also can track sound so you can hear if anything alarming is going on.
