That looks like a wound to me, not parasites.

It's feather picking as mentioned. Put Nu-Stock on it. It will heal in no time. Also when one of the hens get a mouthful of the Nu-Stock, they wont pick no more lol.
It'll be in the Equine section at a feed store and wear disposable gloves when applying it.

Thanks everyone. The aloe seemed to help relieve some of the redness and inflammation. I will look for the Nu-Stock. Even though it seems everything that anyone recommends here is MIA when I go look for it. There's racks of different nutrient drenches and vitamin supplements for livestock but nothing to deal with actual issues when they come up .

You can also make a similar ointment from sulfur powder and vaseline or mineral oil. Nustock has a pine oil scent as well.

This the back end my 2 year old Brahma roo, just below his vent. Very red and inflamed, bumpy skin with feathers missing. Would this be caused by mites or is it something else? Any treatment suggestions?

Looks like he has been pecked at, maybe just keep it clean and use that blue cote stuff.
