I've noticed there are some people stuck in that first stage, as well.As far as iv'e noticed human kids only love you because you feed, comfort and keep them safe. That isn't a bad thing, it happens in a good amount of creatures. They develop deeper more complex feelings as their mentality allows them to do so. The chickens just stay in that first stage.![]()

Reminds me of a cartoon my kids put up on the fridge. It's a cartoon of a man and a hen commiserating over a drink. He is speaking ... "Omelets, eh? Yeah, my kids are a disappointment, too." It still makes me chuckle!Last year I didn't get a single one on mother's day.
