Does your sense of humor get you in trouble?

I think thats what makes the world what it is today. if everyone was the same just think of what a dull world it would be.i have had people ask me why do you laugh so much. i just say i love to smile and laugh because it is a way for me to unload all of lifes sadness and worries. when i can go all day with a smile on my face at the end of the day i feel better then i would if i had not. plus i flat out think that some things are funny. my wifes sense of humor is dry as gun powder. i know that people will debate what humor is and what funny is and what its not. i just cant figure out why thay look and ack like there is something wrong with you. i have worked with people and have seen them go one or two years and never heard them laugh and seldom smile but i dont look at them like thay are nuts.its not if thay think something is funny or not its there reactions.

I find I often have to be careful when answering people's questions on this forum, not so much about the question but the way they ask it calls for a smart a--answer. i.e. Will chicken...?( fill in the blanks) the obvious answer is "heck yes, if yours are doing it then they will."

Hi! I've enjoyed reading Carl Hiaasen books. That doesn't make me a humorist/comedienne.
edit: Or funny in my own right, because I'm just not. I can't even repeat a 'funny joke', because it's obvious in the 'telling' that I didn't get it.
I do enjoy Hiaasen books.

BINGO! That's exactly what I did. We had a good laugh over the fact that they DIDN'T laugh!

I am committed to finding the humor and absurdities in life. It's the best 'drug' I know for fighting depression, discouragement and disgust. Life is full of painful things and PIA people. That we can't change. The only thing I have power over is my attitude, and how I choose to interpret what I see. If I sift these things through the screen of humor, I'm bound to find something worth laughing at. I was sitting in a waiting room one time and burst out laughing for no apparent reason. The stranger next to me had the courage to ask me what was so funny (while everyone else tried to politely look away from the demented person across the room). I said, "Oh, sometimes I think of funny things just to amuse myself." He got up and moved.

You know there are several kinds of humor: 1) slapstick, 2)sick funny, and 3)sad funny, just to name a few. It doesn't really matter which ones flip your switch.....just find one and run with it! It's way better than running with scissors, trust me.

Ahhh....people who thinkest like ME! That tea party joke is THE BOMB!!! I, too, would have laughed my a** off when those old biddies didn't laugh. I would have laughed right then and there! Oh, people are wound so tight and stressed out about life that I feel they have forgotten how to laugh. I joke around with people and sometimes they get it but many times they don't and then they look at me like I had 3 eyeballs and snakes for hair. Oh well, it's their loss.
