I am so, so terribly sorry this horrible thing happened to your dear little pets!!! I can almost feel the pain you're in, I lost some muscovies and a couple very special little hens sitting on their eggs! It was overnight and they wouldn't go in the shed so I had to leave them out. Never dreamed anything would happen to them. We believe it was coyotes but not certain. I felt so guilty that I did not take more time to try and get them inside. The ducks were not as tame as yours were but still was sad. I have some muscovies I'd like to give you!

There was a guy who had show chickens not too far from where I live, and he was out one morning and saw a woman running with her two big dogs. They came onto his property, and he thought they were going to the pens so he shot them. Bad thing was, he shot not too far off of the woman's head. Killed one outright, and wounded the other one. It had to have massive surgery and he ended up paying for the vet bill, damages and a big fine. . .way into the thousands. No matter how he explained they were ON his land, and he thought is show chickens were in danger to the authorities, the fact that this woman's husband was the city manager, owned the local movie theatre, and 1/6 of a Krispy Creme francise was much much more important . . .so make sure you know for sure who those dogs belong too. The law's long arm can be a crappy one!!

Yea - hubby is a deputy and knows the prosecutors, etc.
She lives in a run down trailer park that needs to be condemned. I have noting against people in a trailer park but these are really bad and most are just standing there empty or full of stray cats. We have had issues from tenets that live there before. They usually don't live there very long to begin with.

How horrible! I know you already know this but, be sure to give them antibiotics so the infection (from being bitten) doesn't take hold.

Prayers for recovery, healing, peace, restoration. I'm so sorry. My neighbor lost her entire chicken flock, rabbits and a goat to dogs. They shot the dogs and AC took their side.

Your guinea eggs are going out in the morning.

Your turkeys are so gorgeous. I hope with all my heart that they are healed and restored to their former glorious selves. Your ducks are beautiful too.
