Dog thread!🐾

Ive never heard of Australisn Labradoodles! Yes many purebred breeders are unethical to. Thats why ive learned how to read Pedigrees and Genetics papers of dogs to really know what im getting. Im not to sure on the curlyness of the fur though.

A relative actually found a doodle on the side of the road, took him in. nobody claimed him and unfortunately he passed a few years ago. But she said, that he was a good dog. She is also a vet and she knew he was from an amish breeder but he was still ok after he got over the worms. Ticks and whatever else he had on him
You should look them up! They’re really cool.

@SpotTheCat i have actually seen one ethical Goldendoodle breeder. They were breeding to both the GR and Poodle breed standards, plus doing all health testing and AKC registering the puppies. Plus doing a bunch of other stuff before the puppies go home. Although i cant remember the kennel name. But other than that most are unethical and they are just in it for the money.
How can they akc register the puppies? Is it just a sports register? they also can’t breed a mix to a purebred breed standard

health testing, registering, doing somethings before the puppies go to a home doesn’t equal ethical or well-bred to me

if ever remember the kennel name I would love to have a look and see if they are what I would call ethical

What is ethical then? Only purebred? What about purpose bred mixes? Genuinely curious cause I know that might’ve sounded sarcastic or sassy or whatever but it wasn’t.

The only way you can register a mix is to have him written down as altered. That or they just lie about the breed most of the times

This is my doggy Penny! She is a five-year old great pyrenees livestock guardian dog for the goats, my avatar is her as a puppy! ♥🐾
She is a super energetic and happy dog.

It comes down to health testing, proving your dog has a reliable temperament, breeding for a purpose, proving the dog in some sport, competition or field of work, and breeding for structural and psychological integrity
