Well, the last one I met stunk so bad. It was such a strong dog odor I could barely stand there to pet him.

My Boston bulldog mixes don't have an odor. Boxers usually smell like Fritos or warm oven mitts, Australian shepherds smell a bit especially when wet. They smell just like wet poodles. Hounds in my experiences have an odor. Warm ears, and hound oil. They are said to have an oily coat to repel water when hunting.

Sighthounds I believe are also odorless. The complete opposite of *most* of their scenthound counterparts

@sourland or someone else who knows, is it true beagles pee everywhere? My mom always used to say that and never wanted one cause of it but I figured it wasn’t true.
