I guess it could be a problem for certain lifestyles, but that's one thing I love about Bostons - they want to be with me. I was actually disappointed when I first got Dorie because she was kind of aloof and didn't want to sit on my lap or be petted. It took years but she has since changed and does like to get up on my lap every once in a while now.
I want dogs that like to be with me too, but I do need to leave the house. The dog needs to be able to sleep while I'm gone, and not have a panick attack, or try something naughty due to its energy requirements
