Well itās not happening now just got a email from the shelter she has been adopted sadly.
they probably want no chance of accidentally litters or people breeding from the dogsYeah I donāt understand why we canāt bring her home and spay her when sheās around 9 months old.
Gets people everytimeHe at least looks like a mix of those breedsI am still in shock from the half malamute

Unfortunately there are unethical rescues/shelters just like breeders
I would still advise waiting until 2 years old![]()
The wash out rate for purebreds of the best breeds bred for AD work all ready have a 50% wash out rate, sometimes higher! Rescue dogs have a much higher rate, which is why its not recommended unless you are a big charity training themI was going to ask the same, but I have no SD knowledge whatsoever. Especially since she'd be a working dog...
I can see the pit and cattle dog right away lolWhen we adopted my other dog, Henry, we were told he was "half purebred Middle Eastern Hound with papers and half Golden Retriever".... excuse me, that's not even a breed!
Husband I guessed he had some Pit in him.
Ended up almost a quarter each of the following:
American Pit Bull Terrier
German Shepherd
Chihuahua
Australian Cattle Dog

Yeah we would love to get a purebred from a reputable breeder but we just canāt afford it the only reason we were going to be able to afford her is right now all adoption fees are waived. The wash out rate for purebreds of the best breeds bred for AD work all ready have a 50% wash out rate, sometimes higher! Highly recommend the Embark test! It's fun to see the results![]()
I have Twiggy my absolutely awful washed out AD. Now that I have more experience and knowledge I know she was terrible in all most every way! Even if she wasnāt reactive and didnāt have hip issues she would never have been as helpful as Fanta! her personality and temperament is really not right for AD workThe wash out rate for purebreds of the best breeds bred for AD work all ready have a 50% wash out rate, sometimes higher!
