I’ve seen a lot of people hate on the dogs themselves. Especially on dogbook (dog side of Facebook). In fact, just today someone was trying to rehome their doodle and people were being extremely rude and making so many unnecessary comments about how much they hate doodles, etc. It happens a lot, believe it or not. They also hate on the owners of them a lot.

Well hating on the dog is plain dumb. Correcting or being firm at some doodle owners I get. Some do not know how to take care of their doodle, especially that coat. And while hating on them is also dumb, correcting them should be a thing, for the dogs sake. Some doodle owners who say they have purebred doodles or things like that are purely uneducated, still doesn't require hate

Agreed. I also blame the breeders for poor coat care too because they lie and don’t tell the owners how much work they truly need and then the owners get mad at groomers when they need to be shaved down. It’s a vicious cycle. But yeah, gently correcting is a lot different than being downright rude and mean or saying all doodles should be euthanized (which I have also seen said quite a lot and there’s groups specifically for hating on doodles).

Yeah it’s ridiculous. And there are doodle breeders that health test and do sports and stuff and even some that breed relatively true now and breed multigenerational to multigenerational (they don’t call themselves doodles now cause of the hate) but still.

I personally haven't seen any of them that do the things you've mentioned, but I'd love to see some who do, for a change

I’ve seen some locally and there was one in like Florida or Georgia or something that did that.

Actually, the pekingese was also used as an alarm system. In monasteries, they'd have the Tibettan mastiffs on the perimeter, and the pekignese on the inside. Whenever the pekingese heard something, they'd bark, waking the mastiffs which saw off the intruder

Mastiffs weren't doing their job if the peke had to warn them of an intruder already inside!

My choir teacher has one. Her friend breeds them, but I don't know more than just that amount

Hm interesting. I think the dogs still deserve to be loved and have homes and everything. Some don’t think that just because it’s a doodle and it’s sad.
