Domesticated vs Indigenous Helmeted Guinea Fowl

The FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, University of Cape Town, were grated permission by Africa Geographic to post PDFs of the "News from the FitzPatrick Institute" pages from the bimonthly "Africa - Birds & Birding" magazine on the Institute's website. Unfortunately, the magazine was discontinued in 2012, but selected articles contributed by FitzPatrick staff and students are still available for download. While browsing through their website I came across this interesting article about domesticated and indigenous Helmeted Guinea Fowl:

Hybridisation and the Helmeted Guineafowl

I have a request please?

Please can members, with domestic Helmeted Guinea Fowl, post one or two sharp photographs of the heads (from the neck up) of their Guineas? I would like to get a clear visual comparison of the differences between the headgear of the indigenous Guineas of South Africa and the headgear of the domestic breeds.

These five photographs are head-shots of Guineas that are in my neighbourhood...

These photographs are great! Thank you. This is very interesting to me and I appreciate the trouble you took to post these.
They would have been a lot easier to post before the latest BYC software update since they are stored on the computer with the out dated OS.
