Pullet or Rooster. 2 week old bantam Dominique. Does have a small amount of black on the legs. Hard to tell in picture but spot is solid and doesn't contain black inside spot.

What do the wing feathers look like?

I know you are supposed to be able to sex by the spot. ..... but I suck at that.

I suck at sewing in pictures. Is it lighter or darker than most the chicks? Is it more like the light one or dark ones?

The spot is kind of small but runs a lot in the rear..
52% chance it is a boy...

Yeah...that is why I prefer sex by wing feathers. ..

My two Dominique chicks had totally different wing feathers, and both turned out to be roosters or so everyone said).

Do you have pictures? Because I have had some questionable ones, but never totally wrong guesses when going by feather color.

What age were they when you looked at the wing feathers?

I have had problems with wing feather sexing too. I have found out not all breeds can be sexed with them. Also some breeds I was told are the opposite of other breeds.

We got them at 3 days old - you can see them here at 4 days old. Margaret had short stubby wing feathers, and Leia and longer more pointed wings.

At the point the feathers are at that point in development they are beyond sexing from any method I know.
