My Doms are inquisitive and calm, but not in your lap kind of birds. They won't volunteer to be picked up, but don't struggle to get away. Mine really love to free range, the hens are up to their hocks in dirt whenever they get the chance. I am keeping my two trios together and the roos are behaving themselves so far.

I had a couple out with the laying flock and they did fine all winter, no comb freezing problems. They lay a good sized egg--Not XL but probably large. I had one of the free range Dom hens disappear this summer, and found her with 12 chicks--so they will go broody, and she was a very good mom.

I have a limited experience with them, and I do like them.

I got mine from Mike Stichler. I have another line I am going to try to blend in--probably throw a kink in the whole works--but I never can seem to stop myself from tinkering.

I'd definitely say Max, for what it's worth. I'm still learning myself. Lilghter overall color - he's in a weird pose though. Hard to tell about the back -but the chest is up nice. And the comb is nice to me - we have a lot of beefy combs, so his comb appeals to me.
