Once, I requested new phone service and I was told that my service would be activated some time the following morning.

It did - at 12:03 when I got the first of MANY men calling asking for "services" that-must-not-be-named-on-a-family-forum.

I called the phone company that morning and requested a new number. I told them that, while I realize they recycle phone numbers, I would prefer to have a number that was not, in a former life, an Escort Service
