Too bad fig trees don't do well by me ... ours must be content with mulberries!Years ago, we lived at a house with a huge, wonderful Fig Tree. I always had to make sure the chickens wings were clipped before the figs started to ripen. Otherwise I'd find that they flew over the fence & were in the fig tree, going to town! Did you know chickens LOVE figs?
He should have stayed in the mower, it would have been safer!They are vicious lil predators, no? Pulled out the lawnmower on spring for the first mow ... checked the oil, gassed it up, after a couple of pulls to start it, a mouse who had taken up residence ran out and into the run. I said 'hey mouse, that's a bad plan!' but I don't think it even had time to hear me finish the sentence!
