My chicken cumberbatch is very light looks like she absent eat'n in a while. she had poop (white colored poop) all over her vent. She is acting very mellow and dose not want to drink. I picked her up and she seemed in pain. She is breathing very heavily and closes her eyes often I am keeping her in the bath tub to keep my eye on her. Oh she is also very bony and keeps her feathers ruffed up. It has been cold also do you think she is egg bound PLZZZZ LET ME KNOW ASAP!!! THX!!!!!!!

If she's in the process of laying an egg and it's hung up in her vent, you should be able to feel it, and maybe even see it. So go do that.

If it's an egg close to the vent trying to get out, you might be able to help her with it. It will be an intense undertaking, so let's be sure that's what's going on before we try to talk about it.

I just went through what I suspected was an egg bound hen. It seems gross but you gotta do what you gotta do (and this seems urgent) and you may be able to progress by order of elimination here. To either confirm that she is egg bound or not put on a latex glove (or something similar), lube up your finger and put it in her vent. You will be able to feel the egg in the first inch or two. You can quickly google the specific distances that an egg should be if it's stuck.
If she is in fact egg bound, fill that bath with nice warm water and give her a good long soak...if that doesn't work there are other solutions.
If she isn't egg bound, how is her crop in the mornings? It should be empty and you shouldn't notice it bulging. A full crop in the morning would indicate that it is impacted or that it was impacted and has gone sour.
I would also inspect under her wings for mites or other parasites which can cause anemia..explaining why she is so lethargic.
There are a lot of possibilities here, so I'd start by eliminating some. If it's nothing obvious then she may have something more internal like worms or an infection.
You may need to nurse her as well. If she has any strength left you may be able to give her water with a dropper provided it can get into her system.
Good luck!:fl

Okay so I think she played yesterday, she is not upright I don't feel anything hard or lumpy. I am tearing her for being egg bound (well she is just in a warm bath) and I feed them extra egg pellets I had her on a goal with a bag over it. She is tired of is 11:18 she has tried to drink a little and is sleepy I think I am going to wrap this bath up and dry her I will be up with her until like 12:00 here. Also do you think she could just be sick cuz it has been cold and windy she has been inside the coop for about a week cuz it was waaayyyyy to cold for them to go out. Can chickens get colds?
