How many of you use a camera in you coop? If so what do you use? Is it expensive? Do you have a link? Do you like it? I want one but there are so many to choose from. Thanks for advice in advance.

Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

It's the Ring Stick-Up camera w/ battery (as I don't have electricity in the coop). Though I'm sure by this point there's a newer or upgraded version, as mine is a few years old. Hmm, looks like the price has gone down too. That's not terrible....I just dont want it to fuzzy is it a specific ring or are the the same lol....I dont use technology alot I have things app on my phone and nothing else hahaha
Wyze. Outdoor camera package. It does require WiFi, but is battery (no electric needed @ camera location). $90. It can be used without WiFi if you install a memory card. But then no live app viewing. How many of you use a camera in you coop? If so what do you use? Is it expensive? Do you have a link? Do you like it? I want one but there are so many to choose from. oops I should fix that .....I hope nobody uses an explosive camera
To add: extra cameras are $50 for the battery/WiFi and the WiFi+plug in are $30ish. Price wise, they are superb. You can have up to 4 on each base station.Wyze. Outdoor camera package. Love it. Because mom and my sister, and my grand niece/great grandniece watch it via the app quite regularly, I have to charge it abt once a week.
Picture quality is excellent. Water resistance is excellent.
Note: our lowest temp is 32°ish. Not much rain (except 7” in last 7 days…).
For the $, it’s great. Customer support is also awesome.

Hows the live stream? Is it clear at night and day?I use a Ring camera, but it is expensive - at the time I was looking for one, it fit all my criteria (battery powered, live feed, wifi, designed for outdoor use). Wyze is probably the most highly recommended camera on here, and relatively inexpensive to boot.
It's okay quality... at least enough that we can usually ID all the chickens even at night (as the camera is pointed at the roost). Sample screenshot below, which was saved at a little lower resolution than the actual footage since I was just trying to make a photo for an article:Hows the live stream? Is it clear at night and day?
