Okay so I had chicks hatch yesterday. One still had an empty yolk sack attached and brownish fluid in the egg. It's definitely not as peppy as the others. I've read this could be an infection? What would the dosage of amoxicillin be for a newborn baby chick?

How is it doing? I wouldn't want to give a day-old chicken an antibiotic but would try electrolyte/probiotic water.

If you choose to give it amoxicillin, the dosage you'll have to figure out by the weight of the chick. It's 57 mg per pound of weight. If you need help figuring that out, let me know and I'll get my calculator going. Good luck!
