Drinking water

How many days can chickens go without drinking water?

I keep water available at all times. Not sure how long they could go without it.

Last summer one of my hens followed me into the grandkids playhouse and I accidently closed her in. I went back in the playhouse 11 days later and she just walked out and started pecking the ground like nothing happened. I know it was 11 days because I looked up the date that I texted my wife saying we were missing a hen. I never would have believed she could go that long without food or water.

I make sure my chickens have water all the time. They drink quite a bit of water. I would worry less about a shortage of food than I would about water.
