Can both forms infect the flock at the same time? Is it just a different presentation of the same virus, or different viruses?

I've had about a half dozen of my flock break out in what looks like dry pox. Watching them, but other than some being listless for a day or two, they have all been fine in the run, and are all improving. It's been about 6-7 weeks since it started.

One has been different. Both eyes swelled shut and the others picked on her and she couldn't find food/water so I put her in a hospital cage 5-6 weeks ago. Most of that time I've been syringe feeding her, dipping her beak to drink. She improved painfully slowly - six days ago I was on the verge of putting her down because she developed an abscess draining pus on her shoulder and seemed for the first time to be distressed or maybe in pain. But suddenly she was scratching and pecking the floor, and progressed to eating on her own within two days. She spends much of the day outdoors in a small cage, enjoying sunshine and grass, pecks up food, and twitters happily. One eye is still horribly swollen, has been for 6 weeks. It's improving too, but VERY slowly.

Now she has a sore on part of her beak. I think her beak will always be misshapen if she pulls through. It's missing a bit on top.

Poor poor thing. She really does seem to be improving, eats well, is gaining a little. But the infection just keeps coming out of her.

I'm going to try to post some pics of her below.

I couldn't find the antibiotic I've read about here, but I've been using a human type topical cream without pain reliever. But not right on the eye. I don't feel I can give up after trying so hard, and while she's happy, eating, and gaining, but these infections seem out of control. I don't know if I'm dealing with wet pox or what. She's had no breathing difficulties, btw. Thanks!!!

And warning ... these are a bit graphic. I feel like people are going to tell me it's cruel to be keeping her alive, but she is very vocal and makes it clear when she is satisfied - and not.

I'm also very worried about flies getting on her. Her feathers were clean until this evening ... some pus is getting around her neck feathers, and she also had a couple of flecks of white stuck near her tail feathers.

This eye opens btw. She's just closing it because she doesn't like to be picked up. Maybe you can see there's a piece of her beak missing just behind that bump on top. The ridge she should have by now isn't there anymore.

The eye is actually much more swollen today than normal. :( It had formed a large pus crater, but now that is smaller and dry. I worry it may be blocking drainage.

This side of the beak has a bit just forming that isn't normal - maybe the surface is missing today? And pus coming out. It was fine yesterday.

Her shoulder abscess healed within a couple of days and isn't visible anymore, and doesn't bother her. It popped up 7 days ago.

It's really a day by day changing with things newly popping up, or getting a little better or worse.

Please tell me how I can help her, beyond what I'm already doing?

Thank you!

Is that her actually eye ball sticking out?
It has been swollen for weeks. Her eye is under there. I haven't seen the eyeball itself in weeks.

It's really about twice the size it has been. I know it's shocking. :( That and the beak suddenly leaking pus out the side. Both changes today.

I don't know what to tell you.
I'm curious to see what the others say.

Have you tried any antibiotics?
