They are such good fliers! I’m terrified of them deciding to just zoom off someday and getting lost. Luckily they have been easy to catch and just run instead of flying off, which is hilariousSo very true! Beautiful babies you have there!
I was tucking em all in coop tonight and Gabby got scared and took off and flew right out over my head into the yard! Scared me to death cuz the 3 d'uccles are very fast and don't listen well at all! She just started layin so hormones?!
I have the same fear with mine... they do know how to fly soooo well and I'm so afraid they'll go over the fence with my neighbors bird dog!! They do follow me, thankfully, so i keep them on the opposite side of the yard on their occasional day out of the run. They are such good fliers! What glamour shots! Their inquisitiveness is legendary! My d'uccle rooster is very nosey and likes to know what's going on, and if it is something he agrees with or not!No one could be more inquisitive and adorable than D’Uccle are!!!

That is the absolute cutest thing EVER!!!!They are such sweethearts!
Have I shown yall Cathy's swing?! She LUVS it and is so easily trained! Wish all my babies were like her!
Oh and do yalls like act like they are starving all the time for treats!?! I know they eat their food but literally Chatty sticks her head in the treat bucket and they gobble up all the treats before anyone else can even find em much less eat em! And they are in my hand LOLOL!
In case 8 hadn't yet here yall go!
Based on my 2 d'uccles laying and my Satins laying I'd say the lighter egg is d'uccles and darker is Silkie.New layer in banty land! Not sure if it’s from the silkies or D’Uccles (or our other three bantys). The silkies are impossible for me to judge maturity! I only keep bearded and none of them have a hint of comb. Well, one is a single comb and it’s black, so who knows lol. The D’Uccles have just recently popped bright red combs though. Anyone want to guess? My husband would kill me if I started incubating already… I promised my mom no new animals until after she watches our kids in February as well
