How’s your chick?

Summer is just crazy for us Unfortunately the chick ended up not making it. I think it had some infection as well, the umbilical didn’t look normal and started to smell

My broody hen has hatched two chicks yesterday. Millie Fleur D'uccles. She also has a black one because I gave her a Barred Rock egg by mistake.

So yesterday I went out to the coop and found my one D'uccle hen with her head all twisted around so that it was upside down. I think it is wry neck and I gave her some liquid vitamin E and some raw egg. I was wondering if any of you had suggestions for what else to do for her.

When I've had wry neck with chick's, I've used poultry Nutri-drench, and its resolved fairly quickly, all gone within a few days.

You might check your local feed store, they usually carry it, or they also have it on Amazon.
