Ya sure that first ones a pullet?

It’s definitely a cockerel. I don’t think they’re d’Uccles, they don’t have beards— they’re Booted Bantams.

Actually, it might be a pullet— just very excelerated growth.

D'Uccle pullets don't have big combs like that. Mine barely had any comb or wattles at all before a year old.

Do my eyes deceive me, or are my suspected Cochin cockerels growing beards? If that’s the case, are they actually D'Uccles? I think they’re 9ish weeks.

They're actually booted bantams, I just thought I'd ask you all why Paulina (the boy looking pullet) has such a large comb?

I see no beards on them. They are cochins.

Hello everyone I just found this thread. I love my MF D'Uccles.
I need to get some pictures.

Here is my Mille Fleur D'uccle I hatched last spring. It was a rough hatch and only two survived and the other one had terrible side sprigs, so I figure he's pretty lucky. Thankfully, he doesn't seem to have inherited his father's aggression.

Something strange I've noticed in d'uccles is that the female porcelains have larger combs than the tiny ones on the mille females.
