D'uccle Thread

Here are the first babies from my (hopefully) dun serama rooster and my d'uccle/silkie hens. There's one millie chick, one black (may not be banty), one giant EE, one gold neck/ and several that are shades of tan/gray.
How cute! I have some Silkie/d'Uccle chicks that are 7 weeks old. Do you have a pic of your mixed chickens? I would love to see what mine may look like when they get older.

I have a couple of d'Uccle cockerels and a Booted Bantam pullet that I'm selling and I just thought I'd post on here to see if any d'Uccle lovers are interested. I got these guys in a hens choice hatching eggs pack so I don't know what their parents look like. They are all 11 weeks old.
#1 Self Blue d'Uccle Cockerel: Good toe feathering, a fabulous beard, and a really great personality. (In the front)

PM or email me if you are interested. I am willing to ship live birds, though I've never done it I would be very willing to if someone with experience can show me how

This is a half/d'uccle, half silkie. The rose comb goes away, as does vulture hocks. the black skin and purple comb color stays for F1. Also, the mottling goes away.

The next gen, F2, black skin may or may not go, vulture hocks come back and mottling shows back up, but only on half the birds.

I'm getting some nice color out of those birds! After many more months, some may be available. I have one cockeral, gray with red hackles and saddle feathers. Not sure who threw him, but he looks like a d'uccle/cochin cross. He's only started breeding this month, so I know he's not the daddy of the eggs in the bator. He's the dark gray youngster. These are F2 gen.

Him now.

She throws lemon blue chicks, not normal buffs. She's a keeper!

She threw this little lemon silkie when mated back to my partridge silkie roo.
(The chick is the one to the far right, compared to my regular millie chicks)

A couple of the eggs that are hatching are going to be from this mating...two unique colors bred together!
I should get something REALLY bright from these two. Pumpkin color is a bit of a mystery.

All this in an effort to bring citron millie fleurs to American D'uccles! This is the ultimate goal...
