D'uccle Thread

I just ordered a few mille fleur d'uccles today! They will be here the end of February, along with the other chicks/ducklings I ordered. So the d'uccles will be straight run, and we have never kept a roo. Are these guys pretty laid back, non aggressive? I would LOVE to keep one, they're pretty, and I LOVE teh rooster crow. Hubby wants nothing to do with roos because he says they're all mean. NOpe they're not.

my boy is 9 months old and he's my favorite. He hasn't been mean to me or anyone. he sometimes wants to puff up like to show me he's there but I pick him right up. He's my favorite to kiss on

now I really want to hatch some eggs! I hope we move so I would feel comfortable doing it in my house with an incubator. My boy is fairly loud though. My silkie is kind of pathetic sounding compared to him, lol! I have close neighbors so I like the silkie, I don't want to get in trouble and have to get rid of Sassy because he's noisy.

my boy is starting to do better, i didn't lose him and he's doing much better appetite wise! I love my little roo-roo . I put him with another hen, but she's actually a booted bantam but still porcelain. Not affectionate like sissy was, but it gives him purpose.

Mine is 2 years old at least, and never did get spurs in. My roo is particularly mild, and affectionate to me and his girls. He kicked at my feet a few times when he hit puberty, but i just picked him up and now he's one of my biggest huggers.
