D'uccle Thread

Aren't you the one that had the silver mkottled d'uccle? Then it's very likely her chick and yes, it would be a citroen! Congrats! Oh wait, just reread your post that it came from two GNs. Sometimes gold necks are that color because of a certain white gene that dilutes. This might be the case . Can't remember if it's dominant or recessive white.
I am the the one with the silver mille, but this chick isn't hers. I bought the golden necks at a show from some people who also have some silver milles. They showed me pictures of some almost identical to mine. I suspect that the golden neck roo that I bought may have a silver mille parent. He's got a great deal of black in his tail. The thing that is different about this chick is that there's not a little black in the wings, but it has the black dot at the end of each feather. That black dotted mille pattern combined with the pale yellow/white base is unique to any of the other chicks I've hatched. I guess I'll know more when more of it's feathers develop. I can't find your email to send you a picture to see what you think and I can't upload pictures here with this cheap phone (don't have a computer).

Hello everyone I actually had a good News Day hatch with the dUccle eggs I set I hatched all six I set got 4 Milles and 2 Black Mottled. On Christmas I hatched a self blue or lavender not sure yer, have to get a picture. I got it by combo of Blue Mille roo and Mille. No one is laying right now, thinking they should start soon since we are getting a little more light now. It's been bitter cold here and very snowy.

She is so pretty! Did you have any with this feather pattern in your first generation? I hatched out 7 Silkie/d'Uccle chicks and 3 look like this girl (I hope it's a girl)

. The others look more like the Mille Fleur pattern.
