do u have any egg pictures? how big are the eggs?

I have D'uccle eggs in the incubator i can take a pictures of them compared to the LF eggs in there when i get home after 4pm or if i can catch Trexroo in text to get the pic before he leaves for work.

I love d'uncles, I had a very sweet one named Milly, she was a mille fleur, she passed away in January because a bigger chicken accidentally stepped on her neck and broke it at only 4 months old she had scissor beak but she had no problem with it, we just trimmed it every once in a while. But I did get three more last week, not sure on their colors, they are still chicks, but I am very excited

I will get some just a little larger, but still half the size of my hybrids. That's a pullet egg, but my rooster is doing his job. Set 9 along with some Polish last weekend, and day 8 candling showed 8 developing

i wish my bantam rooster would do his job with the bantam hens instead of the large fowl hens, he can't reach their vent, so no fertile eggs from him lol

I have plenty of room to keep my breeds separate, and he only has 3 hens, so I was hoping they would be good. Hoping to get a few more pullets out of this batch so he can spread the love

At what age do they start showing the differences between pullets and cockerels? I know that by about a month it should be obvious, but when does it start?

At about 2 weeks you can make guesses but they are just guesses...for me atleast until they get 3-4weeks old they can go either way. By 3-4 weeks old you should see pullets have an almost flat comb still that should be yellow or maybe light pink/orangish and the roos will have a larger dark pink/red comb growing in.
