Thank you, Lori, that helps me know what is better with these. Lizzie does have lots of black. I like JoBeth's overall look better, even though I have no idea what is proper for their age other than what you guys tell me. In any case, watching these grow and getting commentary along the way will help me learn.

This girl is a little older in this pic than yours is now, but she's my newest show bird:

When mine are the age of yours, I look for smooth over-all color and not a ton of spotting early on.

This isn't the best pic, but....
In this group are some of the birds I was planning on keeping, closer in age to yours:

The millie girl in the above pic was the one I chose to keep from the millies in this group. Had to limit my 'keepers' sicne I was getting the TX millies....

Cool! She resembles JoBeth somewhat--such a pretty girl! This is very interesting. Thanks! Seems that JoBeth may end up with better color than Lizzie, just going by the pics of yours.

It's always hard to say, but she's my favorite. And I think I was correct, in the beginning, when I said you had all milles, with no blue

Yes, I think you were right, though those foot feathers look bluish to me. Other than that, they are black.

I have a roo with blue foot feathers and black tail. He fathered my goldneck girl.

Thank goodness I've got the bators (both) loaded with eggs. His wing is not split or missing, I just didnt do a good job 'one-handed' taking the pics...sorry. Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. Take care...

Thanks Doug. No I've not worked w/henks on this color as I have a seperate pen that these eggs are coming from, so I know how the color is produced, I just need to see if it will breed TRUE. I believe it will as Aubrey has them in some of his Dan's...that gives me hope that the lemon and silver both will continue to breed true as planned
