if its german based belgium its pronounced Dew-clay - I've been told by french speakers its pronounced dew clair

I hear dew - clay most and thats what I use.

Sorry, I can't answer because I do not show and I only have read what is on the website for the club. I know there is self blue and the MF but the blue MF is beyond me.

However, your DD should probably go ahead and work on them, show them as AOV and work towards getting this variety recognized. If no one does it then it will never get accepted and wouldn't it be great to see her name in the history books saying she worked hard to get it introduced into the standards?? Incentive! Not to mention how beautiful they would be!

Does anyone on here own any that we could drool over??? Photos! We need photos!

That being said....I am falling for those silver Mille Fleurs. Not that I can have another project but the photos are just gorgeous.
Who am I kidding??? I love them all!!

I believe you are right there. I am sure with my southern drawl I slaughter it pretty badly! It doesn't matter if I put the right emphasis in the right places, it will always sound to the actual folks that live in Uccle, as something funny. And probably to German folks, as well.
That is why we all have to wear shirts that proclaim our love of the breed!

Gosh, Booted Bantam is so much easier! How badly can I slaughter that one?

What a shame I own only one.

Mottled (meaning black mottled only) 1996
Self-blue 1996

This is what I thought.
Now comes the question of Golden Neck are they Splash Mille Fluer or do they use dominant white.
If I recall previous posts on other threads in europe they have dominante white and in North America they are normally Splash.
If this is the case there should be lots of Blue Mille Fluer out there.

Hi,

I know I've asked this before but I forgot what page it was on so I couldn't find the replies to my question

So I received 4 Mille Fleur D'Uccles from the hatchery; two of them died

Out of the two that survived, one had a beard and one didn't. The other ones that died had beards too. So, is my rooster "D'Uccle" actually a D'Uccle? Or is he a genetic mess up?

Patches - to answer your question Belgium D'uccles must have feathered legs, beards, and muffs. No beards and muffs means its a Belgium booted bantam.

Same thing just minus the beard. clean legged D'uccles (Still with beards and muffs) are D'anvers. - essentially to put it simply. lol

so you have a Belgium D'uccle and and a Belgium booted bantam.
