Although the calculator says black or if you use blue mille fluer, 50% black/ 50% blue.
As you can see that is not exactly what you get. But they are all split for Lavendar and for mottling. So when put back with Self Blue you will get Self Blue.
And if put back with a Mille Fluer you get a whole lot of stuff some looking like mille Fluer and some not.
All depends on the genetic background of your specific birds. Out of 50 eggs hatched we only got 1 solid blue and 1 solid black.
But that is just our stock we used two different lav roos to see if it made a difference but it did not as they both came from the same source.
I love the cockerel(?) in the very last picture! With the black and white markings--what would/is that coloration called? Mottled? Does that color exsist now? I want some....
He is not a mottled we also have a black mottled Cockeral and a blue mottled Pullet.
We have 3 like him and kept all 3 to see how they turn out.
