I have a two year old Pekín with botulism over 24. I am giving her activated charcoal no one has the antitoxins or even know what to do with her. I am keeping her warm and feeding her and giving her water and keeping an eye on her constantly. How long does this last. I was surprised she made it through the night. What can I expect. Would she eventually clear this ?

Sorry about your duck. I would continue to offer support as long as she can swallow. If she cannot lift her head, you should not give water. Are her legs and feet paralyzed? Are the wings and neck paralyzed as well? Did she get it from a pond or or other water source? Since I’m not that familiar with duck care, I will tag @Miss Lydia for advice. I’m not sure if an Epsom salts flush might be of benefit or not. Here is some reading:

I know you said she passed but in case any others get it here is the information I used to help my birds. I did use an antibiotic at the first sign of leg weakness and 10 days later my guy is still with us. He never progressed farther than a slight limp and that even went away. His three brothers perished before I could figure out it was botulism.
