My Frannie Muscovy 2 year old just hatched 10 lost one belly pulled out a bit that happens once there have been quite a few already hatch too much movement. she is still sittin on 7 more. my other female is sittin on 8 and a bantam and three hopeful goose muscovy crosses

There are many things that can go wrong they get too cold especially if you have some hatch first and the others are a few day behind mama duck will not take as good a care of the eggs and start takin care of her babies keeping them covered and warm but not the eggs so much. Also sometime the duckling will run out of energy before it can hatch.

I have not hatched duck eggs in an incubator my mama duck is a good brooder. But here is some info i just looked up.

So what humidity should you use?
The conclusion of what humidity to use to hatch duck eggs was that it varies although, the humidity requirement for most of the duck eggs I hatched during my tests was at the lower end, closer to 40% – most of my failures were because the humidity was too high. Ducklings would develop and die fully formed because they couldn’t pip and rotate around inside the egg in order to break the shell and free themselves.

If you can’t weigh eggs and run 3 different incubators (and lets face it, this was a little extreme!) there is another way to estimate the correct weight loss and that’s by the age-old method of candling and observing the size of the air sac.

I love my ducks.
I currently have 6 Muscovy,
2 hatchlings, 1 drake 1 hen
4 adults, 1 drake(nasty bird) 3 hens
12 more due this week sometime, and 14 more that my hens set that I uncovered in the coop so I am incubating them as well.

So far from looks I have more drakes than hens which is a bummer, but I will live.
Non-Muscovy
4 Rouens, 1 hen 3 drakes
4 Indian Runners, 1 drake, 3 hens
3 Pure bred Anconas, hens possibly all three or 1 drake 2 hens.
1 Ancona x Pekin, drake
6 Khaki Campbells, at least 2 drakes possibly more
