Duck concerns

I hope you will check with the people on the "Duck thread," they have probably seen/ experienced all of that and know what's what. I have never seen ducks(wild ones )lay like that. But then I don't spend much time looking. Please also post in full detail on the E/R thread just to cover all bases.
