Hi I was wondering what you do to keep flys out of your duck pens? I have the deep litter method

First,, are the flies an ongoing issue?? meaning year round? No location in your profile,,, so no idea on your climate.
I live in Zone 5. Flies are over for the season.
I use fly traps in my chicken area. There are many options. The easiest are the disposable ones.

In California But It’s still hot here so the flys are still out, would I need to put multiple or just one?

In Summertime, I have about 3 or 4 going in different areas of my backyard, and Chicken run area. Does clean out the flies for me. It does not eliminate them,,, just traps all the visitors.
