DUCK EMERGENCY

I was putting my ducks to bed and both of them have thick slimy yellow goop coming out of their mouths, all stuck to their tongues! I'm having a hard time getting it out. I have no idea what to do, they've been outside grazing and swimming all day acting fine

No, I've never seen them eat egg, that's what I thought it was but it's more like mucus than yolk

No our vet doesnt look at chickens or ducks... I'm reading other posts that are saying they might have eaten slugs but if that's the case i still dont know what to do with them. The ducks are drinking but they still sound like they have a lot of gunk in their throats, I dont want them to choke

Sorry, I'll look into it, but I'm clueless as fas as what it may be. I might try to get some out with a towel, or cotton swab, but besides that, I'm not sure what else you can do. I don't think administering fluids would be a good idea right now.

How old/young are these birds?
What exactly do you feed them and how long ago was the most recent time you brought a new bird home?
