Duck feed?

@Soon2BChixMom which variety of Nutrena has 125mg of niacin? I’ve been trying to figure out a way to get my ducklings to eat Nutrena since they only make them in the pellets. I think the niacin content is awesome. But then I remembered I put ducklings food in water so it is easier to eat. And the pellets will dissolve in 2 minutes anyway. So next time I am going to switch from purina to Nutrena. @shawluvsbirds this is the brand you use?

Rereading some things that I missed due to reading and posting from my phone and now on my tablet, but just wanted to say that I switched just recently to Nutrena all flock.
It has made the poos thicker and more structured. I don't know if this is good or bad. But, also, they prefer the crumbles as they all try to weed through the pellets to get to the crumbles. Even the chickens prefer purina flock raiser and the crumbles. Just tonight they were on the duck side pecking at crumbles on the ground. I went over and checked - they had plenty of feed. Acted like they were starving. So, most likely I will switch back to Purina flock raiser when I buy another bag.

My chickens also abandoned their feed in their coop to gobble the Purina Flock Raiser in the duck run. I doubt I can go back now. They’ll stage a coup.

Sorry I missed the tag somehow. .
I use the nutrena meat bird feed to start for the first 7 weeks (which is crumbled feed) then I switch to the all flock. I personally love the pellets. Less mess less waste and my birds seem to prefer them over the crumbles. I guess it's just whatever they get used to. I haven't had to supplement with any extra niacin.
I use the meat bird starting out for the higher protein content for their growth. I think it's 22 percent and the all flock is 18. Purina may be better feed. .but it's harder for me to find and when I have found it it's been more expensive.

Here is the web site where you can look at all their different feeds. There is another feed They make called scratch grains that is check marked for ducks. Anyone wanna check it out and tell me if it would be a good treat or supplement?

Do you switch to the all flock when they are grown? Boy I can really tell the difference in the smell when I get them off of the higher protein feed. Its so o o o much better.

Jana, I Couldn't get it in Pittsburg last time we were there, and I saw on that nutrena site where it said that it is not available at tractor supplies at this time. What the what!

No, I just put them on Naturewise chick starter/grower because that's what I feed all my adult birds That's 20% protein, so a little lower. I'd do the Naturewise All Flock if they sold it here, but they don't. I don't feed Purina just because I don't like it as much, but I have fed it in the past.
